Gluten allergies are a pain, literally. My experience has been debilitating headaches, body aches and a brain fog that I could never escape from.

I cut wheat from my diet 3 years ago in an attempt to lose weight after reading “Wheat Belly: Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight, and Find Your Path Back to Health“. I had tried everything else and figured what the heck. 3 weeks into my wheat free diet I couldn’t believe the difference. My headaches were gone, I was thinking clearly and I felt years younger. I was also losing weight.

Three years later, I am absolutely gluten free. I feel so much better and have lost 50 pounds. I have found that I’m so sensitive to gluten, that I even have to check the seasonings on food. You’d be surprised how many foods have unneeded wheat as a filler. So how do I travel for work 28 weeks out of the year and not get “glutened”? That is what I want to share with you.

I am tired of having to check every item at an unfamiliar restaurant or eat at the same ol’ place all the time. I was talking to my husband about how I wish there were a place out there that did gluten free restaurant reviews to eliminate the guess work or the possibility of being glutened. It takes me about 3 days to recover from wheat exposure. I have a job that requires me to be at my best. I don’t have time to recover from an accidental wheat allergy attack. Which has happened, even when ordering off the gluten free menu. So I’m going to share my experiences with restaurants, fast food places and even gas station foods. If I get glutened, I’ll let you know so that you can avoid that restaurant, or that food.
